Undergraduate courses
Explore our courses, where you’ll find a wide-range of options from business and law to sport and psychology, animation, engineering and nursing. You can also chat to our current students and staff members who’ll be happy to help you with any questions about your chosen course or if you want to find out more about what life at Herts is like.
September 2025 entry
For undergraduate courses starting in September 2025 (including extended and foundation degrees), you should submit your application by the January UCAS equal consideration deadline of 29 January 2025. Universities must consider all applications received by this time equally, and do not have to consider applications received after the deadline.
For guidance on how to write your personal statement, check out our personal statement guide and videos. You can also get lots of advice and tips for your personal statement at our online information session on 9 January 2025.
Don’t forget to use a personal email address rather than a school or college one when applying, as this may become inactive at a certain point and you’ll miss out on vital information from us.

In some cases, students who are applying to study with us may not have reached the age of 18 years at the time of registration. Although we recognise that all students expect to receive the educational service that they are paying for, students under the age of 18 will not legally have reached the age of adulthood in the UK and so they will still be subject to certain rules and requirements that apply to those under the age of 18 (for example, in relation to safeguarding).
This may have an impact on how the University delivers its programmes: for example, it may present challenges for the University in securing an appropriate range and scope of practice placements, which might cause delays to the programme of study or have financial implications for those under 18.
The University will take all reasonable steps to seek to minimise any disruption to study arising from this.
Should you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact ask@herts.ac.uk to discuss your options.
We understand that sometimes a student changes their mind, or their circumstances change which means they wish to change their choice of degree or Higher Education Provider. If this applies to you, we are fully committed to supporting you through this process.
